At O2W “the whole is more than the sum of its parts”.
When righting a wrong we use different perspectives and come up with solutions that consider the entire system where they act and not just parts of it. Our holistic mind reflects on solutions that are balanced and integrated to contribute to the decarbonisation of the society, to avoid the consumption of natural resources, and above all, to prevent the contamination of the ecosystems and the planet.
We are a Portuguese company dedicated to reduce waste, in the act of consumption or by its reuse as raw materials, in the design of something useful and beneficial for its users.
WHERE WE INNOVATE
WE MAKE PEOPLE LOVE THEIR WASTE
We believe people, with the right tools and the right motivation, can transform most of their household waste into new products for their use and well-being, in other words, people can value its domestic waste where it is generated. This way, we manage to reduce the pressure on the consumption of natural resources and energy needs and above all contribute to a more sustainable planet.
We have developed an innovative technology that allows to make scented candles from the transformation of wasted olive oil and vegetable cooking oils.
This sustainable wax does work as an alternative to the consumption of natural resources, such as paraffin, soy, coco waxes, among others delivering unique benefits to its users:
BENEFITS OF OUR ECOLOGICAL WAX
- Make a better planet by preventing water and
ecosystems contamination
- Keep up the economic value and avoid the consumption of natural resources
- An ecological, biodegradable and non-toxic vegetable wax
- A high quality wax with a clean and long-lasting burn
- Vegan and safe for the consumer and the environment
OUR MOTIVATION
REDUCE THE NEGATIVE IMPACT OF WASTED COOKING OILS ON WATER AND ECOSYSTEM’S POLLUTION
DID YOU KNOW THAT 1L OF OLIVE OIL OR VEGETABLE COOKING OIL POLLUTES AROUND 1,000,000L OF WATER?
Misdirected wasted olive oil and vegetable cooking oil become residues with environmental and economic negative impacts.
More than 95% of domestic cooking oil’s waste is discarded through the sink and toilet.
Most of this waste ends up in the oceans. When in contact with water, it creates a thin layer of fat on the surface that prevents marine life from absorbing oxygen and sunlight.
OUR IMPACT
With the help of our partners and customer, we achieved, since the beginning of the project:
prevented the contamination of
0
litres of water
avoided the consumption of
000
kilograms of natural resources
